Spark plug swap and new plug wires....

Hey guys I’m about to tackle the plugs and put new wires in my 2012 screw it just hit 98k and I think it’s time.... checking to see if anyone has done there own and if they had any issues or advice only cause I’ve heard horror stories of some in the back breaking or getting snapped if not careful...? Also has anyone had any experience or feedback on the granateli plug wires an 0hm pucks upgrade......? Thanks in advance for all your help!

If you do a search there are several threads, including some tailored to helpful hints. I replaced my own plugs and didn't find it all that difficult, but it is time consuming due to the sheer amount of plugs. Only 1 of the plugs really give an issue, the one behind the p/s shock tower. However, everyone's tolerance for DIY will be different based on skill level. Wires are simple.

Will do thanks I’m sure it will be a breeze an have heard that the one you had slightly harder time with is typical so I’ll wait for a free weekend borrow buddies lift and that should also help the process figure plugs won’t hurt might as well change them too thx

We sell the Granatelli wires and NGK plugs as a kit. We have probably sold over 50 kits so far this year. We had one person say they had interference on FM and we replaced all the wires for him to solve the issue. Think maybe one of the wires was damaged or faulty but it was quicker to send him out a new set as that was a better way to handle for customer service wise instead of having him try to determine what wire might of been causing the issue.

Thanks yea that’s my only issue/ concern during the swap I do NOT want to hear that snap sound ! Only had it once before on an old dirt bike just that one plug was a pain int the arse to fix and make work don’t wanna mess with that on the raptor!!

Figured for $70 it might save me some headaches...

It was also suggested to buy a set of : NGK58976
Ignition : Spark Plug / Coil-On-Plug Boot

They are around $50 on RockAuto,(only need 8,not 16 like plugs,)and since you have to deal with them anyway,might as well change...and IF you break one off while changing the plugs,your dead in the water until you can get a new one...cheap insurance in my eyes...Once I'm under the hood and committed to the job,I'm going for plugs,wires,boots...everything except the actual coils which are really pricey and look like they would be easy to change later.
