Thank you, i can't wait either. Ordered tubes yesterday and those should be at friends metal shop next Tuesday. Then we can start cutting.
Drake mounts ordered!

Good to know that others have used / are using them. They were not even bad priced compared to some other so I began to think about why.

You'll like them. From a function perspective, very easy on/off operation - which is good if you actually need to use them.

First of all i'm sorry did not see your post! I don't know how i can be this blind.
I like your tire carrier and would like to know how the tail gate end is mounted to bed? Did you have to do holes there, because it looks like its not long enough to go factory bed bolts.

It's mounted into the bed by using cups that are held in place with the factory bed bolts. It uses the front and rear bolts (4), it does not utilize the center bolts near the front. The rack can also be made to incorporate bed stabilizers mount points that I am also using. That picture I provided, is directly from KHC website. It was selling through TMX as the Covert Bed Cage but TMX no longer sells it.

I used the drake holder for inside the cab and used Synergy's for outside because theirs has a hole that allows you to put a lock on it. Granted someone can still get it off but prevents those teenager punks from just grabbing a quick accessible fire extinguisher and having some fun with it.

They don't use pins. It is a screw bolt that tightens on it to keep it from moving at all. Thing is solid, no rattling what so ever.
