South padre island (texas) beach run 05/11/13

Holy geeze, I was down there then and had no idea. Would have loved to join up with you guys. I have a house in the Shores on the far north end of the Island right before you get to the last public access. I''ll be down there for 2 wks over the 4th if you guys get another group going would love to give her a taste.

I was about to start a thread asking what sort of preparations should I take with my truck prior to her touching the sand? under coating or any other salt armor products, etc. What did you all do? Looks like a ton of fun, thanks for sharing your trip. Hope to see some of you guys on the 4th -

We'll set something up!
As far as preps, we just took the basic spare tires. Lots of straps would help other than that, no undercoating. I rinsed her off as soon as i left. Idk if anyone else did anything prior to hitting the beach.

I put a clear undercoat prior to hitting the beach (amsoil). There's a good thread on em somewhere here.

I want to go again and try out my RPG ps res. now that my steering wheel is fixed. drives a hell of a lot better. sooooo smooth
