Big Blue is right, that plague trail will be your best bet and safest to run alone.

How squeamish/motion sick does the wife get? Our Grassland trail might also be a possibility. The end is gnarly.

Ok, have to ask AGAIN. The plague?? Really.. My wife is not squeamish, but she'd be second guessing that ride. Do you have to just wash your truck good afterwards or something to keep the plague away?

Wife doesn't get motion sick either. Biggest concern she would have would be doing it alone and getting stuck / messed up without world contact.

Gnarly? -- how gnarly? Was that on the video at the end?

I did see the videos on Youtube for the run this last Memorial day.... are those the grassland trail you refer too?

Thanks everyone! Gotta work on a plan !

Yup, Blue put up the sign, it is a known plague area, don't get out of your truck and you'll be fine. As I understand it, it is transmitted by direct contact to the bones of infected animals.

Yes, the gnarly section was the end of the little video I put up for you. I think both those trails will be relatively safe and make for some satisfying off-roading. There was a bunch more after the gnarly section that we didn't have time to run. Get the file off of Kmandoske or Huck. And buy that Grasslands map I mentioned, it will have all the off road trails on it.

Good luck!

Hey yea as was said above I am a local but will most likely not be able to hook up. I am probably going to be working when you come through. But if you need ideas for local stuff pm me. It would be fun to go run those trails again.

RW I would like to see both versions. I agree the ones that didn't make it might not want to watch 6 hr but I would love to.

To clarify about the plague. The plague is carried by the fleas that live off the prairie dogs. Which are in turn eaten by the ferrits.

You can look up the are on the web. It tells the restrictions. You can get out and walk around, just wear pants and bug spray with deet. And don't lick anything

I haven't seen any other of those around. Did see a SCAB once and a black one on hwy 41. You can tell mine as my plates are RAP2OR.

Glad to hear there are more around this neck of the woods. Would love to find some places to go here as they seem pretty limited. I am down in Appleton/Menasha quite a bit as wife's parents live there.
