Intercooler ? or do you mean heatexchanger ?

Intercooler. Have to remove the unit to install it and reseal. The old one is tiny in comparison. I can take a pic if you want to see it.

Uploaded anyways. The upgraded one is twice as deep but slightly narrower.

I will be getting the upgraded heat exchanger as soon as it is released. I'm counting on MTF to post about it! He is more in the loop than I am.

Crap, calling Whipple today to order the bigger intercooler. It should just come with it, IMO

rbarn, when did you order and receive your supercharger? I talked to Anthony today, he is going to get back to me with an estimate...but I want to make sure and I get the smaller pulley and the updated intercooler (and heat exchanger if possible!)

Are they including the intercooler at the same price? Cause I just talked to Whipple and whoever I talked to told me it was a $400 option to upgrade.

I ordered mine 2 months ago. Took 1 month to arrive.

Talked with Whipple and looked at my pulley again.

1. All the new kits are coming with the bigger intercooler. It was only the first few shipped out that had a smaller one.

2. The kit does come with a 3.5 pulley standard now. That is whats on mine.

I have ordered the 3.375 and 3.250 pulleys now to try out and see if I cant break something expensive, lol
I expect belt slip will be big problem on anything smaller than the 3.5 though.

It's an upgraded heatexchanger that cost an extra $400...... and it is still in R&D last I read.

The stock HE provided by Whipple is actually quite big. I would just put a couple of 7" ebay fans for $15 a pop on there and call it done.

Thanks! What heat exchanger did you use for your upgrade?

AFCO GT500 heat exchanger. slightly modified.

The stock Whipple HE is about the same size as the AFCO unit, but 40% thinner and is only single pass vs. double pass of the AFCO.
