Throughout my many yrs as a bass head, I've experienced some pretty awesome component sets (personal fav was the JL ZR650 component set). When I was planning my system for the Raptor, I wanted to see what results I could get by going budget and I feel like I hit it out the park.
19 RR 802A
Front Speakers - NVX V series components - $130
Rear - Stock
Subs - Skar zvx 8 x 2 - $350ish
4 Channel - RF power 800x4 ( also ran a RF 1000/4 on them / both amps I already owned)
Sub Amp - B2 2500.1 - $450
NAV TV - whatever it cost.
RF 360.3 - Already owned
NVX 4 door deadening kit - $75
I'll keep it short and sweet, having owned and listened to alot of the high end components out there, these 130 dollar NVX speakers sound about 90 - 95% as good as the most expensive speakers I've owned. the mid-bass is lacking on these mid level V series. I suspect that's addressed in the $250 X series. Regardless, it's a non-issue w/ subs.
I felt comfortable going w/ NVX (on sonicelectronics.com) because I've been impressed w/ previous gear's quality for price. I'm not sure what MFG is actually making these speakers, but they're quality, check them out.
