Against the rules? Are you serious? There aren’t any rules in this forum. I could post a video running my granny over as she returns from shopping and so long as I don’t spill my beer in my cup holder I can expect a ton of likes.

As long as you run her over with a Raptor, you're good.

@MDJAK @GordoJay

lmao I suppose I should have known truck owners are an easy going bunch.
Where does grandma speed bump range in the raptor off road capabilities? Might be a missed marketing opportunity with those rioting events.

Hard to believe it, but Ford still doesn't get it....if they really try and run a 47 hp electric motor plus a puny V6 against a Hellcat motor, they're going to be smoked in humiliating fashion.

I've hated Chevy and just plain ridiculed Dogde my whole adult life (I'm 53....)....if this bears out to be true, the Raptor I have now might be my last Ford truck.

You know what this brings to mind??? In '74 (a mere 8 years removed from racing glory) or thereabouts, Ford came out with the "Mustang II Cobra II"....

Regardless of if your a Ram fan, a direct competitor to the raptor is a good thing right? While it may not reflect in the price, it means Ford can’t rest on its laurels with regards to the Raptor.

Also as an FYI, not that anyone here will really know what dealership I’m talking about. Never ever deal with Puente Hills Ford in California. Liars, scammers, bait and switchers.

I'm not a Ram fan LOL...never would even consider owning one before now. Chevy either for that matter....thing is, if Ford goes with this ridiculous electric hybrid idea, then they're abandoning the performance market to Dodge...

Up here in WA state, Bill Pierre Ford carries the "scammer bait and switcher" flag, and I worked for them in the early 90's...totally dishonest on every level.

the info is to preliminary but there are so many ways this could go. IF ford does a hybrid setup we will hear the same complaints we hear from the v8 only crowd when the gen 2 raptor came out. and ford still sold the crap out of them because at the end of the day it was still an amazing truck that out preformed the gen 1, not sure what ford didnt get about it. people are usually resilient to change but we have seen what electric power is capable of. just watch some of the videos of stock tesla's absolutely destroying heavily modified barely street legal muscle cars.

this is where technology is going whether you like it or not. Ferrari Laferrari, Mclaren P1, Porsche 918, did those companies abandon performance when they went hybrid? No. they showed the world how you can make stupid fast gas/electric powertrains that arent just for tree huggers that want to putt putt around.

ram is likely going to have both the rebel and the rebel trx. ford could do the standard raptor as a hybrid and do a super raptor with anything from the gt500 engine to a 3.5 ecoboost with a 200hp hybrid system and anything in between. the question you need to ask yourself is what is more important, the sound it makes or the numbers it puts down?

i also get the impression that dodge is more concerned with on road performance with the launch control and drag menu's they are putting on the trx as well as the huge trailing arms on the prototype.

and the big X factor that everyone forgets is the cyber truck. It might be ugly and not quite as capable but that thing will probably be a silent killer if they hit their performance target. They also have over half a million pre orders so I think it’s safe to say that people are accepting electric trucks.

Agreed, especially on the last part as the street is where 99.5% of Raptors spend their entire life so Ram will make it shine there and not worry so much about off road.

This. I get the trucks and big v8 romance, but hybrid drivetrains are moving forward. Hell, look at the new Koningsegg Gemera. It’s using a 3 cylinder engine with hybrid drivetrain and putting down 1700hp with a 0-60 in 1.9 secs. Ford aren’t going to get left in the dust performance wise. They’ll bring the performance, maybe just not in the package some people want.

and as someone who has no brand loyalty, I’m excited to see the new TRX and what it offers. I’d also really like to see an equivalent model from Chevy so we can really get this segment of the market heating up.

Sound definitely sound for sure. Vibration of a motor will tickle up a gals skirt. Haven’t seen one ***** drop for gas savings...hahah

need proof? Next time you and your gal are headed down “fooltown rd” put in some earplugs tell me if it’s more fun than some crazy animal noises...Ricky Bobby!
