Some might have it, there really isn’t a rhyme or reason how it gets pushed to vehicles and then needs to have the right conditions to download and install OTA. And that assumes all the prior updates installed successfully.

Some early 21s received it OTA but a lot of people are manually installing it.
How is this manually installed?

I keep clicking to check for updates every time I get in the truck now, on wifi, want that full screen carplay/AA. Lol. Still 3.5.2 for me, not willing to dive $600 into FDRS yet. Hopefully it will come in the next couple months.

Some folks have forgiving dealers that’ll do it no questions asked (free)…got one near you?

Just had my 22 in at the dealership for shock replacement for clunking and had them install my Eibach 1" leveling springs. I asked if they could do the APIM update to give me full screen Apple Car Play. The service advisor said not a problem. Well when I picked up the truck I was told the Tech who worked my truck (Who also has a 21) said I have the Sync 4 system and at this time there are no available updates I am on the latest update. So I am confused how some guys with 22 have been able to get the update for full screen.

Tech is fake news. Updates to 3.5.4 are available using FDRS. Some take hours, probably ran out of time or had connectivity issues and gave up.

I was told by my local dealership maxwell Ford it would take 2 days to take a look at it and update my system to 3.5.4, can anybody confirm why some people can’t update to the newest one. I plan on dropping it off tomorrow since I’m leaving to Las vagas tomorrow and coming back Tuesday which is when I plan on picking it up the services advisory said that’s fine but I’m not sure if they’re willing to have my truck their till Tuesday.

If the correct module updates are available you can, but it is a very finicky process doing it manually and could take days depending on if your truck hasn’t been updating OTA or if the dealer doesn’t know what they are doing. Dealers usually opt to just not do them unless there is a billable warranty issue.
