So where is a prospective buyer even supposed to see one or better yet test drive????

A raptor is not a work truck. Sorry.

If you need a work truck then I would suggest buying something else.

I don't need a "work truck", my job involves a computer :) But just found the ratings a bit odd and would use it for towing once in a while.

JERSEY CITY FORD, RT 440 N, Has a 2013 terrain raptor in there show room,

thank you!

I believe that the Crew has a larger payload and towing because it has a heavier suspension and is more stable with the 11" longer wheel base. There are other people on here that know a lot more about towing than I do. Hopefully they will chime in.

It is hard to have the best of both worlds... Your towing is going to suffer once you start building the truck for high speed offroading. The fox shocks have amazing travel and are soft enough to soak up the big hits, but your towing capabilities go down. A lot of people tow with their Raptors and love them, but it was not what it was built for. By the way, mine did come with all the bells and whistles I would need if I was using it for towing

Towing question, says 6000lbs for SCAB and 8000lbs for SCREW. Is that right? Why such a huge difference? 6000lbs for such a big v8 truck is kind of disappointing since a v6 Tacoma is rated for 6400lbs.

its not the motor, its the combination of brakes, weight, axles, and mostly suspension .
the motor is the same 6.2 that they put in the f350.

Here is another silly question. I would like to have the bed covered, waterproof and locked. Cover seems simple enough, something like a FlipBak. Seems like the best one right?

And now the dumb question. Carrying normal stuff (boxes, strollers, costco shopping, etc) in the back of an SUV is easy and nothing really moves around since the trunk is smaller and carpeted. But what about the bed of the truck? How do you prevent stuff from sliding all around? Does it need some sort of a divider and organizer system?

They have a dealer in Hackensack as well, not sure if you tried there. Sometimes they swap between the two. I would not buy from them though. They tried to sell me a lifted F150 for 60,000... I laughed at them. Told me it had 20,000 of work into it yet when I asked questions about the truck like what kinda lift kit was on it,etc they couldn't tell me. Idiots.

Ditto, there is an All American Ford about 40 minutes from me, so I went and looked at a black screw they had on the lot. Wouldn't budge on the price, so I decided to see if they knew what they were selling. I told the salesman I wanted to order a green one and he said I didn't have to order they had one on there Jersey lot. I said have a nice day!
To the OP, IMHO I don't think a raptor is the right truck for you or any truck for that matter. From everything you have described I would buy an ecoboost flex.

Meh...raptor is about the only Ford I like. If it's not that, then I am not really sure what else. Everything else looks so plain and boring compared to the Raptors :)

Is an FX4 a good comp/substitute to how the Raptor rides/drives? I'm going to a dealer on Sat for a test drive, but not sure they will let me take the Raptor out so was curious if an FX4 is comparable or not?
