Nobusa - what price point should I be looking to pay for a ceramic tint on my front sides and eyebrow? Thanks!
retail, you would probably be looking around $200-$250. its a little harder to work with, and the film is expensive, however the time it takes is only slightly longer than standard. in my area a full tint (screw for example) would most likely run $550-$600. where as a normal tint would run $250-$300

i went with F1 Pinnacle, matches perfect with the factory rear. 20%. i've used huperoptik before as well and the pinnacle has been flawless. I'd also recommend going to a shop that has a digital machine to cut the film. it fits perfect all the time. unless you find a good installer on a good day, the edges aren't always 100% but when they are digitally cut to size it's always perfect.

i got 35% windshield 20 sides and 5 over factory rear....

Its completely illegal and considered a very serious offence if you get caught with a tinted windshield in the province of Ontario. the law on sides is 35, and rear no law you can have privacy tint.
I kept my sunroof untinted to one reason..... cop.... sunroof slide open.... at night either closed or open its still dark.
another forum member pointed it out to me and made me go sit inside my truck during daylight and he said with the sunroof slide closed he could barely see me inside if at all....

Yes i know it's illegal and if i ever do get pulled over i will be honest about it.
The difference at night is minor...... especially with all my LED bars it really doesn't make any difference other than i rarely wear sunglasses now even when the sun is shinning through the windshield... the tint really helped... i can always argue safety.

When looking through the front windshield from outside its difficult to see anyone inside, looks pretty cool though all blacked out from the front, although riding inside as a passenger never really noticed it being any darker than mine.

I went 30 front/ 5 rear In Formula One Pinnacle and then the windshield was done in Lumar Ceramic tint not sure what the grade was. I was orginally going to do the eyebrow and then the shop convinced me to try the entire windshield and all in all im happy with it. It was around $450 total.

What's the lightest ceramic tint available? I'd like to do my windshield to block heat, but don't want to have any tint at all for liability reasons. Do they make like a 95% or something like that?

I'm not sure what the lightest tint is but the tint shop I went to said the darkest they could go is 80 on the front. It was Llumar Ceramic on the front windshield and you can barely tell its tinted but it makes a huge difference in keeping the heat off of the dash.

80% is pretty light...I'll have to contact my local tint shop when the time comes and see what's available.

20% front windows, 20% over rear windows (already had factory tint so now it's basically like 5%), 5% on the eyebrow of the windshield. On my next vehicle I'll be doing 5% front, 20% over the rear, and 5% over the top of the windshield. I also like the idea of 80% ceramic tint on the sunroof to keep the heat out.

He pulled you over for your eyebrow or for other reasons?

That was the only reason. I wasn't even speeding then.
