I was going to order back in late July, but just by chance found the exact truck I wanted on a lot and got 1,500 off of MSRP. Very few SCabs with no NAV on the lots so I felt luckly. I definately do not regret getting a 12.

i went the 12 route, couldn't wait cuz trade price would have been worse. Got the 12 due to not wanting MFT in 13 and with all the problems it has had. Didn't like the new centerstack either. I did like the HID lights and reverse sensors, but my backup camera takes care of that. Other than that everything else is exactly the same. Plus got the 12 for about $1500 over invoice.

I was tring to get into a 12 but with the color and options I wantdit just didn't work out for me....so i got a 13 an am trying to wait patiently. I traded in a harley though so I kept my Jeep and gt500 so I am not walking :)

I plan to keep the GT500 here and store the jeep up at my cabin in MI until my son is a few years older thenwe'll pull it out and do some cosmetic work and ake sure brkes etc. are good then let the boy have that POS. We'll fix the AC and headiner and throw in ne carpet and maybe seats and a lifted cherokee with a winch is a prety nice set up for a kid that at that point will be about 12 (He's 8 now)...He's goingto havesome swat equity in it before he gets to drive it but were we are up there he probably will get some wheel time before he's supposed to also and it wont be in my SVT vehicles.

Unless you get a great deal on the on the 13 I would try to find the perfect 12.

As far as buying a clunker in the meantime... That sounds hokie... You got to register it, pay sales tax, insurance, etc...

A rental sounds expensive for an unfixed term...

My dealer in Evansville, IN has their only 2012 Raptor marked up $5000 over full MSRP. Supposedly a market adjustment. LOL. They sure know how to run off potential buyers.

You might consider renting a car until your truck comes in. Rent-A-Wreck, or someplace similar, will rent you one for about what a monthly truck payment will cost, And you donl't have to deal with buying a beater, having it crap out, and having to spend money for repairs, or selling it when your Raptor arrives.
