Nice video. Sasquatch looks like he either stole something or had intestinal distress from a bad burrito.

You tricksters!

If you're not pulling a prank (and an awesome one, of course you'll deny it) then I'm going to have to bring my 1911... hahaha

I'll have my M&P, regardless. If these guys are pulling a trick, I am not aware and I'll be very displeased, I don't mess around like that. Squatches are scary shit dude.

The guy in the suit better put his plate carrier on under the costume, lol !

On a side note, I've spent my entire adult life in and out of very remote areas (100's of miles from any roads) where we're the first people in as far as I know, never seen any signs at all of the elusive squatch.
Seen some unholy large wolves though...

Post run report on the Wouxun Radio: It word very well. Prior to the trip, I upgraded the antenna and got a handheld speaker/mic.

I mounted the radio by clipping it to the roof and putting the antenna towards the front of the truck. I let the mic hang. The radio was secure through the whole run and having the mic available for the driver or co driver was convenient.

The radio performed very well. The battery life was amazing. We used it all day and never hit the low battery. On the drive home, we were chatting on the radio quite a bit from the casino till Detroit area.

We also tested the range, out in the trail, we were able to be about 2 miles away with clear radio. On the highway we were able to get about 5 miles apart.

Here is a pic of it in action...

Here is the hand held:

Found the antenna here:
Wouxun Radios: Powerwerx is the exclusive distributor for the Wouxun KG-UV3D dual band handheld. Wouxun produces high quality ham radio and commercial handheld two way radios. Powerwerx stocks a complete line of accessories.

I highly recommend getting a radio of sorts for the run and one from Treypal who is one of the sponsors of the event.

additional post run leassons learned:

With many electronics requiring charging over night (GoPro batteries, Cell phones, radios, etc...) I suggest bringing a power strip for use in the hotel. Typically it can be hard to find outlets, and these hotel rooms were no different.

Sharing photos and gopro video can be made easier by bringing an external hard drive.

This was my first gopro outting, and downloading video took some time. For others with new laptops, this my not be an issue, but I recommend downloading the sd cards in the evening before heading out for dinner.

The gopro aftermarket Wasabi battery performed very well. Especially in the cold temperature.

If you are getting an additional gopro mount, go with the Ram mount, it worked very well to be able to reposition it. It was very simple to use and you can get the exact angle / position you need.

Bring windex and paper towels for cleaning areas of your truck you want to add gopro mounts or stickers too. Using water just freezes.

Bring tums and keep in the truck for surviving the bumps after lunch...

Don't forget the chapstick.

Bring plenty of drinking water, the dry winter air will dehydrate you. But with this, you also should always pee at every stop.
