$50k truck and wavy cuts on the grille decal.....hmmmmm....

Vinyl sign shops can make exact cuts of the ford lettering for the grille. I got mine off ebay last year for about $20 for the grille decal in that exact same cf vinyl, laser cut, perfectly straight lines, for an OEM look on my $50k truck lol

well im happy with what i got. some people prefer to do things themself even if the outcome isnt 100%.

to the naked eye, at normal distance, you will not notice any wavy cuts or edges.

thanks for the constructive criticism.

If he likes the outcome, who cares.

I certainly don't care, and he shouldn't care if I do or not lol, but anything posted is up for constructive criticism, so I let him know that you can buy letters laser cut for a perfect OEM fit incase he wasn't aware they were available. I'm all for DIY mods, but I'm also for mods that fit/finish matches a $50k truck, and wavy cut letters right on the front end of our giant ford lettering? Most people will see that, have no idea it was aftermarket, and just think "Man look at that ford quality, orange peel paint and crooked cut decals, thats why I drive a chevy/dodge/toyota/nissan!" lol.

Sorry I'm not of the mindset for internet forums that the only posts can be down on your knees head bobbing back and forth "OMG I love it best mod ever!" :wizlick: kind of replies lol.

I do like how the B pillars turned out. I've been thinking of doing that one for a long time now. Seeing it done, I think I'll finally get around to doing it once it's warm enough one of these days.

I like carbon fiber and faux carbon fiber on black vehicles. When my truck arrives (although its white) I'll be having the hood vents and fender vents done in hydro carbon with a satin clearcoat. Subtle touches are the best and my buddy has a hydrodipping business so that makes it even easier.

No offense taken.

The B pillars are gonna be tough. I'm 6'6 and even I needed a stool to get the top just right. But hey, it's doable.

^Ruger, last week in the bitter biting cold I did my grill lettering from a Canadian eBay vinyl seller, cost me $24 w/ shipping.

Looks good too, no need to spend that much on something that I feel is simply a subtle enhancement. Checked that link ~ $37 w/o S&H
