Ooh carbon fiber How much lighter is it now

I managed to shave off 7 ounces of weight!!!!

But I was at the midnight showing of The Hobbit and ate nachos, a hot dog, Bon bons, and a cherry Icee so that just negated that!!!!!

Hahahahaha

It's all vinyl Balu. No weight loss.

^Ruger, last week in the bitter biting cold I did my grill lettering from a Canadian eBay vinyl seller, cost me $24 w/ shipping.

Looks good too, no need to spend that much on something that I feel is simply a subtle enhancement. Checked that link ~ $37 w/o S&H

You didn't check too closely, New Guy! It's $37 for anything but carbon fiber. It's another $10 for Avery, and A $40 bump for 3M. ($76.98 for 3M carbon fiber lettering.)

so you found 1 site that has it for a stupid mark up, congrats. Keep an eye out, they pop up on ebay from time to time for all of $20. Even if there weren't any other places that sold them for a fair price, I'd still pay an extra few bucks for precision laser cut pieces that look OEM, than doing it with a shaky hand making a 5 dollar mod look like a 5 dollar mod on a 50 thousand dollar truck lol.

Thanks for your input. I'm happy with what I have. For $26 I got enough vinyl for my grill, B pillars, and mirror reflectors with 3x3 ft to spare.

I'm happy with it. That should be all that matters.

If he likes the outcome, who cares.

Amen.........from 10 feet away or in the dark no one would know anyway. Not sure how well they will hold up with weather but as I said before I think they look pretty damn good for home made!

Geeze. Lemme 'splain. If you can do an acceptable job yourself, for about a quarter of what somebody else would charge you, then you've done well. There. Now let me tell you all about the difference between cosmology and cosmetology.

lol maybe to someone who's familiar with raptors, but to most, they don't even know they didn't come that way stock....now if the sides were crooked and cut wavy, they'd instantly know or just think quality control was sleeping that day.

As for the question how they hold up, I've had mine on for over a year, probably closer to 18 months, they still look brand new, they hold up fine. And if you ever want to remove them, it's just peeling vinyl off, no biggie at all.
