I like the idea of the receiver mount for the rear amber light.

I am not very familiar with requirements (if any?) when it comes to mounting locations, light output and beam pattern for the rear ambers. I was thinking of mounting some flush rigid or baja lights in the rear bumper but haven't had time to really talk or research this mounting location. What are your guys thoughts?

Cutting in a couple flush mounts for backup lights or ambers into the bumper is a fine location. Some may argue it may be too low, but I havnt ever had a problem with seeing someone with this kind of setup.

Saw that light at snoball, it's gonna get killed on some of the trails, just look at the number of people that have killed the trailer sockets and this makes rear clearance even worse.

This brings up a good point. For @HAYNES OFFROAD and his dovetail bumper, probably a non-issue. I think on that one trail, we had 6 people break off their trailer plugs and a few others (including myself) bend theirs.

I agree I've seen the trailer sockets get ripped off, but my light will be just fine. Shoot you can run a ******** this bastard to lift the truck. .:ROFLJest:

Sure but it makes departure angle worse and people more likely to get hooked up on some of the trails we do in WI. Take a look at the mounts that I made @Jimbo, way better option for location.

I will agree that it does affect departure angle, and you could run a higher risk of being caught up on some trails.

The production model will only be sticking out away from the bumper maybe 2-2½". That's really not much of an increase, and when your running those tight trails, you don't necessarily need a dust light anyways. Takes less than 30 seconds to pull it off, so use some discretion like anything else.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this is not a product for everybody. This was made specifically for those that want the easiest, and simplest way, to add a dust light, or a backup/reverse light. Nothing more, nothing less.

saw this at snoball too, it is stout!
would not really worried about digging a furrow in trails, but if you are serious about runs you need to mount ambers high. at snoball, this light flat disappeared. could see the truck in front but not him.

Thanks for the feedback bud! Truly appreciate it!

I do agree, the higher up you can mount ambers the better. But again, this is better than nothing for those that are not hardcore, or simply do not want to modify the truck in any way. (Yes there are some of those left in the raptor community! :ROFLJest:)

We actually got mixed feedback about this light. Some said it cut through the snow dust really well, other said not as much as those that were mounted higher. Some said it was great at night, some said it was too bright. Haha, and its "only" a 1800 lumen SPORT!

I'm sure a PRO model would be highly visible no matter what conditions are, but i would imagine that the next 5 trucks in line just might hate this light at night. Lol
