Raptor I saw at an auto wrecker yesterday looks like someone couldn't handle the power of a 6.2 with a pro charger on it! All airbags went off ripped the rear wheel clean off and bent the axle and destroyed the front end. Crazy thing is they are rebuilding it so watch it if ya buy a used one with a pro charger in Alberta.

Yikes! That one will never be the same. This is why Trey says driving lessons are more important than trying to make this truck faster

Its not so much as a place to go get lessons. Its finding someone who has experience, and just doing it.
I started teaching driving when I was 16. Started the day before I turned 17. All my experience was from my dad who was the lead instructor in performance driving for the las vegas police department, and just putting me on the track and having me find the limits. Its a lot of the ability to "feel" a vehicle. Know what each tire is doing, understand weight transfer from braking and acceleration to turning side to side.
This truck is incredibly easy to drive fast. Every move is smooth and predictable.
Go to a big open flat dirt area and just drive your truck around. Do high speed turns, let the back end kick out and find where the truck is comfortable. If you start in off road sport mode you will never spin out or loose control.

I've done that with every vehicle I've owned on snow and parking lots. I used to take my ex-cruiser Crown Vic down trails for camping where I saw guys get stuck in 4WD but never had trouble I couldn't get out of.

I think it's important to know the feel of your vehicle as you describe. We just don't get that much snow here & it's hard to get more than a couple chances a year.

I have long advocated this same concept for shooting, and I've said that the best accessory for any weapon is a better trained shooter behind the trigger. And though I've been a certified instructor, I'm very willing to pay for skilled instruction from others.

So my truck is no different. If there are good driving instructors that can make me a better driver, I'm interested.

Now, since this thread is about pics, I need to post one. Not a great one, but here's a pic anyway.

If your ever out in my area, I enjoy teaching people how to drive, especially when its more toward performance and off road.
We have a very twisty mountain type road here that takes about 1.5 hours to run. A blast to run down. The raptor is incredibly capable on asphalt too. I have run down corvettes on this road, all by driver ability. Its very good in showing you how to drive on asphalt.
And we have dirt areas to show you off road.

This is a 3 hour drive including a ferry crossing that is one of the best roads I have driven down. And almost 0 traffic ever on it. I run down with a group of 4-9 cars and almost never come up on another car.
