That's because Texas you can get pulled over for every little thing. Like driving 5mph over the speed limit. That's not a crime that's my right.

California requires a front plate but I have not had one on my truck for over 2 years and don't plan on putting it on my new bumper that came today.

I think NY requires a front plate....how are you planning to accommidate a plate? The reason I ask is because I got pulled over this past weekend outside Johnson City, Texas for not having a plate. ;-)

Yeah, Texas state troopers love to use a missing front plate as an excuse to pull drivers over and pad their citation quota numbers (also an excuse to ask harrassing questions like "have you been drinking tonight sir?" or "Are there any weapons in the vehicle?" etc etc). They ensnare who knows how many drivers who just had a beer or two while dining out with family or friends.

I hope they pass the bill currently before the Texas legislature that eliminates the requirement. Until then, I will be running a front plate.

"Yes, there are weapons in the vehicle. And here is my CHL."

Yeah "welcome to NY.. your arrested" hahaha.

I will be putting the plate on after I take some pics. I have a weather tech plate frame arriving today. it has a nice rubber gasket around the back so it wont scratch the gloss panel. unfortunately the only place to mount it is dead center top over the ADD logo. Ill post a pic when its on.

Given your reputation, I'm intrigued to see the combination of your special lighting solution with a front plate.... :)

At least down here we can get a black and white plate witch s some consolation.

BTW, I forgot to mention that the trooper was a great guy and only gave me a warning.
