That is a shit load of miles. If you can go over the truck in detail and it checks out go for it. To offset any risk of shit going wrong I would think $18.5K would be my top top #

Just MO....

Thanks man, really appreciate that!

I didn't even see the link for the carfax on the site either.

And Fred I'm with you on that one. If I can get it for $18k i'd do it in a heartbeat, especially because I have about $10k to put down.

I wouldn't but that's just me... 20K is a bit much IMO to start a project with. Regardless of how it was used @ 150k MILES you gota think the bushings and suspension need to be rebuilt if its going to be your daily driver. The doors don't exactly line up with the front fenders ether.

Not worried about rebuilding, as I do all my own modifications and fab work. Inly thing I wouldn't be able to do is actually rebuild the shocks.

I hear ya... Just know if you go with Fox 3.0 or Icons you looking at 4K+ for shocks alone. $700 Tie Rods, $2400 Springs and Bump Kit. Im sure you can rebuild the stock shocks but most of the guys around here upgrade especially the springs and bump kit due to the rear frame issues some have seen. UCAs are another $1300 but probably not necessary.

You know on second thought if your doing all the work 20K for the truck 8K in parts and youll have a very capable truck. Now you just have to hope the motor holds up. That could set you back another 4-8K when that goes and Im sure you will want to eat that since theoretically you just dumped close to 10K in the suspension.

Something else to consider... 10K here and there in financing isn't hard bc your only looking at another 100 or so in your monthly payment. The route your going all the parts will come out of pocket. With a new truck you have the luxury of doing mods when you can. With that truck you'll probably do them as shit breaks. IF you can afford 10-15K in parts why not put that down on a new one?

Im ranting bro and in the end do what you want. I m not by any means tryn to rain on your parade just food for thought.

Buying the truck for most people is just the beginning. Either way man I would find a way to buy one, these trucks are the ****.

I definitely can't afford a new one. Trying to make my monthly payments under $300. At $18-19k with 10k down will put me at about $100-150 with 60-72 month financing (most likely will be paid off before term is up).

I'm still going back and forth in my head with this one. Still exploring other options for sure.

Another thought would be bargaining with the dealer about rebuilding the shocks and whatever.
