Had mine rebuilt, lasted only a very short time on Louisiana roads... very dissatisfied, but can't afford to be down again, nor to keep mailing them 1000 miles. It's like driving on washboard ice now...

Went with Schmidty Racing regulator kit. You can build one cheaper, but this one was pretty good value for time and effort saved.

N-REG-UNI400-8R-W-0061
Uniweld 400PSI Gauge, Rubber Hose 8', Bleed-off, Whip, No Loss Chuck
$205.00

They must have upped there price the one i see that has all of those components is $276. If it is a good quality kit and i don't have to piece it together it is probably worth it.

I looked. Still the same price. But a setup can be built for a lot less. The gauges are not very expensive.

Fortunately, I have a nitrogen fill setup for doing maintenance on aircraft landing gear struts. Same Schrader valve setup on them, just with more pressure.

My experience with Forged was great... Took a while for them to send me the new shocks on the rebuild program, but that was not their fault. They had to wait for a set to be sent in to them.

anymore update on these companies doing the rebuilds? seems like a waste of money for rebuilds?

Rebuilds are great and definitely needed over time. Just don't waste your time with a fly by night half ass shop. Depending on where you are located some may be able to advise on a repeatable shop.

Im in Alberta Canada, so the shipping is killer. I know there are companies in Edmonton that will rebuild.
