I just purchased my first new Raptor from Indiana and will need to arrange to have a auto carrier pick it up at the dealership and deliver to me in So. California. Does anyone have any auto carrier recommendations and whether they shipped their truck in an open or enclosed carrier? Any help would be appreciated.

Pain in the ass! Been dealing with this the last few weeks, bought truck in North Dakota shipping to nor cal. Better just to fly there and drive back I’m doing that this weekend. Good luck trying to find someone I was going thru Stewart transportation out of Arizona and he didn’t have much luck finding someone that could pick it up for me

Fly and drive and see the country! Take it easy for the first 500 break in miles.

I assume it has a CA emissions label under the hood? Please share the deal you negotiated on your Raptor.

I used Uship to get bids and than chose one company from the bids. Bought the truck from Texas and it shipped to Encino (socal) in two days for $800.

Shipped from Missouri to AZ on open transport 1290 miles. Should cost you 1k or less and contrary to what some carriers will tell you it does not require special wide accommodations and/or up charge. I used shipyourcarnow because I was impatient and paid $300 extra broker fee. Be patient as part of the process is a truck traveling the similar route and you can get the best price this way. I learned a lot and know better now. Here is mine on normal open transport. Included are a couple that were at 1k.

I was going to have my new truck shipped from Las Vegas to here in Burbank California....until the dealer kind of talked me out of it (but would still ship it if I wanted)
Here's my possible issues...if the truck has any body damage the shipper will point to dealer saying it was like that when he picked it up and of course the dealer will say it was the shipper that damaged the truck...
Of course everybodys financial and time off differs, but if it was me I would fly in and drive back even it's a little more moola....AND as others have stated enjoy the trip in you very own new Raptor!

Shippers do a full inspection of the vehicle prior to loading it and it is signed by the party initially in possession of the vehicle. I've had multiple vehicles shipped to and from with no problems.
