Anyone have experience shipping this truck in an enclosed vs open trailer? Due to the width of this truck it's hard to find an enclosed trailer and even if you do the width still makes it precarious (scratches on the sides). What shipping carriers have you had success with?

Transported from Denver to SF Bay, open carrier without any problem. They put the truck on the 2nd rack. Open carrier should be fine with an exterior wash (even without it).

I'd error on the side of caution with a box trailer. With the stance of the truck, getting between the wheel arches and getting the doors open without causing any damage is going to be a real roll of the dice.

Stick with an open trailer or go get it yourself. Cover the entire front with painters tape to protect from chips and drive it back.

And then what? Park it in the garage and polish it on Sundays? It's a truck. It's meant to be driven. Hard. I've done the fly/drive thing and I love it. Painters tape? I'd die of embarrassment. LOL
Internet tough guy, everyone.
