So yesterday afternoon I noticed the truck started running rough. I was just cruising thru my hood at about 20-25 mph and it happened. Then, the engine light started blinking. I called a friend who works as a Service Advisor at a Ford dealership down south of me and he said if the light is blinking, park it. So I did. I had roadside assistance send a tow truck and hauled it to the dealer last night. I have read a couple posts about it happening to others and they said it turned out to be the coil. Anyone else have this issue? The truck has 8,500 miles on it.

one of my VW GTI's had a coil pack go bad.....it threw every code in the book...BS, traction, Cam timing....every system in the car shut down for a $45 part that I fixed in 20 mins.

point is...dont over think it until service gets back

Mine had the same issue on delivery day. It was coil pack and got fixed quickly according to the service guy. Now it's waiting for transportation and I can't wait to drive it again! Please let me know how it goes!

Mine wasn't a coil pack. I destroyed a 6.2. Hope yours is a simple fix
They said it's a coil and the part should be in today or Monday. AND, got lucky and they had a loaner for me! Said they will do the recalls on it too. Hopefully this isn't the beginning of more issues. I have had a 97 F-150, a 2001 F-150, a 2004 F-150 and a 2017 F-150 and never had problems with ANY of them, so this worries me!

Yep! They said coil! I had been reading up and figured that is what it was. Glad it happened when I was right down the road from my house!
