Check out the laser parking devices on Amazon. It's the high tech version of the tennisball and it lets me park my truck consistently within a half inch. My wife refused to have a tennisball hanging from the ceiling and the laser is easier to park with. I also fold in my mirrors for the extra margin. I think someone on here said it was $1500 to replace an 802a mirror.

Can you post the one you use... The tennis ball has been working but it's ghetto. I just want something quality that works.

I’m kind of disappointed with garage depth these days in newer houses. I’m at the point in life where I can afford a raptor and a decent house, but the garages leave a lot to be desired even with newer higher-end houses around here. I think a garage should be at least 26 feet deep, but apparently builders around here in TN don’t these days for some reason.

i couldn't agree more!!!

we built a few years ago, standard garage depth was 20', i would have wanted at least 26 deep and extra wide on each side for storage/ tool bench area.
only options they even offered were a 2' or 4' extension. so we compromised on the third car add on and a 2' ext. on the main 2 car area. so the Raptor takes up almost ever last inch on the 22' side with tool bench and storage racks on the 2 car side, wife's in the 3rd car garage.

i installed these rubber parking curbs i got off amazon, couple Tapcons and presto! plenty of height to stop the 35''s

I need to use the mirrors when I'm backing out of the garage as that's how I guide myself out for the narrow width clearance, then folding them when I get close to the doors. I'm using a railroad tie as a bump stop before my bike's pedal smashes through my grill.

I'll have a mental breakdown if I ever hit the truck on the side of the opening and needing to run the accident through homeowners and auto insurance. I'll never hear the end of it..

You should be scolded for garage abuse!

That’s not a 1 car / 1 truck garage, that’s a 6 motorcycle garage :p

I have a 3 motorcycle garage, that the previous owner built for his Porsche boxster. I managed to stuff my ’01 Lightning in there. Once. It did fit, but let’s just say it’s a good thing I wasn’t overweight because getting in / out was very difficult.

I am completely sure that there is no way the Rap fits in my garage...

If I parked this on the other side I would have more depth. But if I were to enter the garage from the house, I would need to step into the bed and climb out from the tailgate.

I was a little nervous the first night putting mine in the garage but no problem. Have to retract mirrors, but thankfully my one-car side has a deep bay, so no length issues. Still 6-7 feet of floor space between the front of the truck and my large tool box on the wall. I even pulled it in further and left the tailgate down the night I brought it home from the Line-X job. My builder really thought ahead because all the houses in my division with 3-car bays have one long one.

All good reasons to go with the SCAB, just be aware it is harders to resell and they depreciate more since most buyers want the SCREW.

Yep...Resell value is not important for me at all, I'm 60 and plan on keeping it for the rest of my life. I don't sell or trade a car too often, the '65 Corvette I have I've owned since I was 19. The 01 Z06 since 2003 and have no plans on selling it.

Here in the north where they use salt on the roads like crazy the aluminum body is a real selling point and the main reason over a Chevy, and in all honesty. Chevy has nothing close to the Raptor, it really hurts to say that, its simply the way it is.

I'm a little too young for this to be my last vehicle :) , but I sold a 17 year old 4Runner to get the Raptor and I hope this one lasts just as long.
