Iv'e had many high horse Fords, mostly 5.0 Foxbodies, several 5.8 F150's. First rod I have slung.

I had to look at a Jeep one time for a motor failure that the front rod on a 4.0L I-6 broke off just short enough to fall out of the bore and it spun around like a weed eater and cut the front of the block off. No joke, cut the front of the oil pan off and even cut up into the bottom of the head.

Ha, this was when Sony digital cameras wrote internally to 3.5" disks so we could staple them to a claim form. In a previous life I did boat-auto-RV-motorcycle mechanical breakdown inspections and this one was broke!
