I too run a Stage 4 Icon setup on my 2018 SCREW and as much as I have enjoyed the setup, I have been researching how I could push the system even further. Here’s the feedback I have received so far:

I started my research with Scott at IVD and he explained to me that they currently do not build/offer a secondary bypass shock for the Gen 2 Raptors. Apparently, unlike the Gen 1 which they sell a secondary bypass shock for, they didn’t feel it was necessary for the Gen 2, hence why they never created it. In their opinion, adding a secondary shock to the front would require through the bed shocks and a “cage.” He asked me to call SDHQ to get a secondary opinion on running the Gen 1 IVD secondary bypass shock on the Gen 2 and SDHQ explained to me that it wouldn’t fit and it’s not tuned for a Gen 2. I could however run a Fox or King shock.

In short, I got the impression that Icon was not going to support my idea of running a secondary bypass shock of theirs on the front end of my truck. SDHQ was not a fan either. Since then, I have been on the fence of swapping out my front end for an SVC midtravel kit.

Keep us posted what IVD tells you!
Well thanks your input, now this changes the whole prospective of the idea. I have emailed IVD and I am waiting on the really.

But my guess there answer will be like yours, but I won’t be jumping in conclusions till I hear from them.
I was willing to take the chance and do this with the limited liability and experience here I wouldn’t risk it.

In my perspective The SVC kit is expensive vs what it offers. I am not expert in this kit but I have been owning some off-road toys that gives me this impression that the kit wont exceed my expectations.

The 2 other kits that I will be looking at are Robby Woods and RPG.

I love the linked back half the Robby offers and the front kit looks nice I haven’t hear any feedback on it yet but I know @420motors on IG have recently posted a Gen2 that runs this kit but the truck is not fully done.

The RPG kit is more of mid travel kit that offers a 0.5 inches more but I kind like the design of RPG.

That being said I will be changing my shim stack that IVD sent on Sunday and see how the truck handles, one of the upgrades I was really happy about, impressed and changed the whole driving experience in the Gen2 with the stage 4 was 37’s.
Please do update us on if you upgraded your stage4 IVD or SVC.

With the RXTs. because of the way they mount, they actually improve the shock geometry and allow for additional travel.

Gen2s can cycle up to about 20-21" ( full droop to full bump) when the shock mounts are set up right (through bed) with factory length shackles when the SVC adjustable bump kit is used and set to the highest position. ( I couldnt tell you if 16" stroke shocks will get you there. I run 18" stroke 4.0s and the svc bump kit. My truck measures out to 21" of total rear travel from full droop on jackstands to full compressed bump stop.)

If you're using the Icon bump kit, it doesn't allow for quite as much up travel, so you won't pull quite as much up travel.

The gen2 frame geometry is such that it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to go spring under unless you REALLY need the extra 1-1.5" of travel and are ready for all of the headaches that come with it.

If and when the rear suspension on my truck needs to be replaced, I'll strongly consider going to the short course style, 3 link that shaffer's offroad does. I've seen how well it works on a gen 1, and how tough it is.

Very useful info right here. It’s just got complicated right here. And after what was mention earlier about how icon thinks of the secondary shock I do agree with the same preceptive and I find it difficulty to match the shocks with the tune due to my geographical area and logistic and I think it’s wiser to go with a full mid travel kit with shocks through the bed for now unless I sell my kit.
But my question to you with all the experience you have and the amount of trucks what will be in your opinion the best kit in terms of price vs performance and reliability ?

RPG also makes a stock length LCA with a secondary mount.

I would definitely love to hear how this bypass improved this front end.And would you do think I would face a problem with matching my RXT’s to either a King or a Fox bypass ?

I’m happy with the results. It’s not a mid travel setup but made an improvement over just the fox 3.0s on both the trails and street.

I saw you were looking for Icon bypasses and saw this on Instagram today. He has a cam burg LCA and icon bypass.

Thanks man yea I saw that earlier it’s Ricks Gen1.

And I got an email from IVD saying:

Do you have the ext/comp lengths on the shock needed for the Baja Kits LCA & hoop?

I need to get these numbers but I am leaning more towards the RPG lower arm.

I got good new from IVD!

Saud,

The good news is that the 95005 includes a new compression stack for the coilover. Between the new stack and the shims are already have you may have what you need to adjust it accordingly.

If you can provide me the extended and compressed length, I can cross reference that with our shock to see if it is a good fit.
I hope it fits I will be contacting RPG and maybe Baja kits to get these numbers.

I think it is worth talking to baja kits and RPG. I also think that it is worth talking to ADD about the same thing.

RPG, Baja Kits, Camburg or ADD should not only be able to give you the extended and compresed measurements, but realistically, they should be able to give you the spec that they created for King and/or Fox shocks.

IVD should be able to either build you a shock that is a match to the spec, or tell you what to do to modify their shock to make it match.
