thanks. thats pretty much the process to disable it in my ranger. i figured it was possible but was curious. my moms ford taurus was the same way when i disabled it for her mostly cuz i didnt want to hear it when i was driving her car.

Seat Belt Minder

I followed the manual to disengage but no luck.
I was never able to get the air bag light to come on when performing this procedure.
Anyone else able to deactivate the alarm and if so,
How did you accomplish

I was successful in deactivating it in my 2013, but like you, I never saw the air bag light come on. Just do it and pay attention to the timings mentioned in the post.

I always just get ford seatbelt extensions... they shut the chime off and when I do where my seatbelt it feels better on my sholder.. and they are free at your dealership
