Ok guys i need some advice. But before that, i know i should be more careful, i know that it was stupid, i know that it's my own fault!

So now that, that is out of the way. I have scratches, and do I mean a lot of them. Mainly of the small branch variety, but also a few (20) of the not small branch variety, and none of the oh my freaking god what happened variety.

Question is, is there a good easy way of getting rid of the ones that are minor? A quick day job kind of thing? Or is this a take it to the body work guys and make them rich thing?

I was thinking about trying the Quixx stuff, but wanted to check here before I started.

Thanks in advance!

Another product that works well on minor scratches in black paint is Kit Scratch Out. As long as the scratches are not deep this will remove them will minimal effort and hazing. I have had very good luck using this and meguires mirror glaze as a topping.

u could also try the black Turtle Wax polish. it will fill any deep scratches with black pigment and when you wax over it, the stuff gets sealed in and lasts a few months.

if not, you just have to use a DA polisher with some fine cut polish to really work the scratches away mechanically. there's only so much wax can do.

and don't forget that you could have your paint professionally detailed for $100 or less...between the 6-8 hours you're gonna spend and $30 bucks in material you will need sometimes it's worth it to let the pro's handle it.

That's a good point bird. I'll call around and see what I can find out. The stuff I got worked well for everything but the deep stuff, now i'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do about those.

Did you ever figure anything out on the deep ones? Cleaned my truck yesterday and found this gouge.
