More Pics.

I set the gap at 3/32" of an inch.
The Rust-Oleum White enamel spray paint was a perfect color match to Fords "Oxford White".
The bumper is now aligned and level because of the GOOD trailer hitch I picked up from another forum member.
(Note: the trailer hitch nuts are torqued to 129 lb-ft or 175 Nm).

Just to inform everyone.
Ford Motor Co. wanted to make this right (Thanks for your help Crystal) but it was the local dealership that was dicking me.
I let my local dealership try to fix it twice. They screwed it up twice and enjoyed taking my Raptor for a joy ride twice.
Ford set-up an arrangement to have another dealership look at it. Another dealership actually called me to schedule an appointment. (That was very cool!).
I did not want or need the drama from another dealership so I took care of this myself.

Long time lurker here.

I have a 2014 with this issue and asked my dealer service dept to take a look.
They took photos and sent to Ford. The same day I got a call from service dept and they read me a response from Ford stating something to the effect of - the bed cover install would impact the bed rails and Ford would not cover.

I assume there was some serious miscommunication about the issue between the service dept and Ford.

I called Ford and asked that they take another look at the issue. Service dept has resubmitted the issue.
Waiting to see whats next.

Service techs have given me the run around before.
I would go back to the dealership and speak with the service manager.
Be polite and cordial.

Perhaps there was a misunderstanding.
Stay and observe while they take pics.
Good Luck.

I did speak to the service manager after contacting Ford.
Very professional. I'm hoping it's miscommunication only.

I was interesting that Ford provided a response literally hours after the initial service appointment.

Hi GoHerd2000,

Do you have a case number? If so, send it my way in a PM; I'll look into this.

I'm being told this isn't covered as only painted body panels are covered.

My dealer / service department aren't doing a great job communicating either.

+1 to FordService for helping me out as much as possible.

I have the same issue but only on the passenger side. My service rep said she took pictures and sent it off to get approved by Ford but I have yet to hear anything back. I called and left a message today but does it usually take 3 or 4 days to hear back from Ford?
