I had it on both sides. Called my dealership and they treated it as a known issue. Into the body shop, removed, painted, clear coated and thanks to the body shop manager who said (wink, wink, nod, nod) you didn’t hear it from me but you should leave those foolish rubber fillers off. They do nothing. So he removed them and gave them to me in case the next owner wants to damage his bumper too.

I looked at mine today, the tape is in the right spot on the driver's side, but the rubber on the passenger side is in front of and out past the tape.

Just looked at my bumper and thought “Son of a Bitch!” Looks like it’s my turn. Wonder if Ford would outsource this to my favorite body shop so I can have the bumper coated with bed liner?

Do you have a picture you could post without the rubber fillers? I'm thinking about doing the same thing with my truck.

I'd probably just iron x, sand, hit it with touch up and move on. Not worth it to me to deal with leaving the truck and a loaner car.

Well I look at it this way. I’ve been thinking of having my front and rear bumper sprayed with Line-X, and if I can get Ford to pay for some of it with the warranty money that would go towards paint, I might as well go that route.
