So I was doing some searching today. I have always like the FX4's and every pickup I have had was an FX4 except for the Raptor.

Well holy shit are they discounting these things. I traded my 2011 FX4 in on my Mustang before I moved to NC. I lost some money, not going to lie. I did it for reasons looking back don't make any sense now.

So I found a Black, 2011 SCREW, Ecoboost, with 20" wheels, moonroof, lux pkg, trailer brake, tail gate step, everything I would want and more.

They are selling them below invoice now! I can get into one for $38,000 with a sticker of $46,120, plus $1000 trade in allowance and 0% for 60 months. This is $10,000 less than the Raptor....I know it aint' a Raptor and couldn't be for that money.

But man this hard to walk by.

Whatever makes you happy but an FX4 was of zero interest to me. Nice truck but the one I test drove didn't do anything for me.

Ecoboost is a nice engine but it doesn't sound like a 6.2.

If money is a concern, I'd get a stripped out Raptor before a loaded FX4.

%0 sounds nice though. Then again, you can get %3 on a Raptor so it's not like you are spending $10K on interest.

I buy whatever vehicle I want, so I guess in that aspect money isn't a concern, but $10K is real money. A stripped out Raptor (or anything) would not do it for me.

Like LSU said, it's whatever fills the gap more for you.. personally I was never attracted to the FX4, I loved the King Ranch though. Saving for one of those 2012's. never will let go of my raptor though... worth every penny

With the 10g you save you could buy some kings or something and try to build it to raptoresque specs but i would stick with the Raptor.

I know, the Raptor is one of a kind truck, no doubt. Just having a hard time justifying this huge gap in price now with the deep discounts. It is my decision of course, but like to hear others points of view and reasons.

You either want a Raptor or you just want a truck. If it's the latter, then the Ecoboost F150 will do nicely for you. If it's the former, you're going to hate yourself if you buy the FX4.
