Running boards. ?

I think the stock running boards are the best I have seen any OEM put out there. The only improvement they could make is too weld them to the frame and make them true rock guards.

effin SVTCALI took his running boards off....... his truck is at my shop right now. i fell out of his truck because there was nothing there. i was already committed to putting my foot there when i was getting out of his truck, i ended up landing on the floor with my installer laughing his ass off. im so used to having my steps there, i didnt realzed his were gone....

I thought Asians were like cats, always landing on their feet with their ninja skills....my world is now shattered.

Not sure I like those stirrups.

I do like the stock runners and have a coworker with a bad leg that can get up in my Raptor with no issues using the running board. He fell out of my bosses stock height 2500 with no running boards trying to get in once.

I just ordered a set of Amp Steps myself. Best and most functional step out there IMO. It does not provide any rocker protection like stock but they swing out lower than stock, are hidden away when doors are closed, have a nice wide flat non slipper place to put your feet.

I went with these because I find using the stock ones to be a little awkward to get in and out of the truck.

To each his own.

But IMO, there's no chance the Amp steps provide any benefits better than the stock steps except they "hide" themselves when not deployed.

And I've seen plenty of trucks with Amp steps that have problems with them and they're always down (broken). Durability seems to be an issue over the long term with them.

I have put amp steps on everyone on my super duties. I have a set being delivered today for my Raptor. The foot placement is just far superior to any stock running board. I have never had a problem with them being stuck down or anything of the like
