Does the rpg stage 3 kit raise the rear of the truck. I am looking for the better ride but do not want to raise the rear. I don't tow anything or rarely have any big weight in the back. do I go with another company? I like the design of the icon but had a lot of problems with them in the past. The add stuff looks cool and they have some added support from cross member to cross member. Any help would be great.

Thank you in advance

With the stage 3 from rpg you have the option of standard springs or Heavy Duty from National Spring. Standards are stock height (+2) and HDs are a inch higher (+3)- stock block is eliminated. Deaver springs are also an option.

the plus 2 and plus 3 are not inches more than stock. i am interested in the standards but did not want to force a mid perch.

No the +2 and +3 is pertaining to the amount of main leafs that are put in the stack the higher the number the heavier the spring is so if you have a rack in your bed with two spares and gear that's adding around 400 pounds in the rear end the heavier spring keeps the ass end from sagging so you still get that smooth travel. But if you're not carrying anything in the bed then the standard duty springs would work great. With the stock leafs in they sit on a 2 inch block which is pretty ******. The stage 3 with national leafs gets rid of that ****** block but it doesn't change the ride height really cause the national leaf springs are an 11 leaf stack so it masked up for the block being out.

so the thicker stack of thin leaves maintains stock height via the ****** block delete. one achieves a more compliant ride because of a progressive spring rate. win win.

i wonder why progressive coil rates are not more common on the front?

Definitely a win win! You could get 3.0's and it'll make that rid even better.. With the progressive leaf stack the ride will improve as well. The rear end feels planted and a lot more stable and a lot less wheel hop off road

This post is confusing. It tells me that Standard National Spring keeps the stock block. Please tell me this is not the case.
