The frame support and bump stops have arrived, the springs are on the way.

Option 1: Friend has lift and nice home car shop and will help. I'm very mechanically inclined, have rebuilt engines, diesel tractors, etc. How long will it task with the right tools and a lift to install the bump system and springs? Any tips for self install?

Option 2: I have a weekend trip coming and it's unlikely I can self install before the trip. What should it cost to hire someone like SDHQ or ADD (both local) to install?

thanks...joe

If you do it with lift, etc plan on 5-6 hrs. Sdhq/add etc will charge you the hourly labor rate x 3-4 hrs. Sdhq/add may not install parts you didn't get from them, you could call and see. I know that Jason at Lex motorsports would do it for you. Prob around $300. Give him a call. I did it with a buddy in a driveway, took us 6.5 hrs.

Did you drop the fuel tank? Would you do it that way if doing again?

thanks...joe

Just cut the bolt. Typically we try to keep them in stock and supply a new one with each kit. As long as you use a good saw and not a plasma cutter you will be just fine. We have probably done hundreds of times now cutting the bolt.
