Ok, so the weekend I have been dreaming of and scared to death of has arrived. I received my Stage 3 kit from Jarrett at RPG and I am now ready to start my install. I will be doing the full install tomorrow night in my garage with the help of my brother (who thankfully knows more about this stuff than me). I am really excited to do this install myself because I feel like I will know my truck better and maybe come away more knowledgeable about how it works.

Ok, so I received my springs first and the first thing I did was spray them down in AMSOIL HDMP (thanks Chris)

I received that rest a few days later and then went and bought a few tools that I will need for the job.

I will post more pics and let you know how it goes tomorrow night! Wish me luck! :banana-mario:

Good luck. It will be easy, don't be scared. It's only nuts and bolts...just takes time.

Congrats man you're gonna love it! Just one tip remember don't tighten anything all the way down until you get all the nuts and bolts in once you get them all in then your torque it all down and make sure you re torque everything after about 50 miles of driving! Don't sweat it it's simple. Took me about 3 hours to do mine in my drive way! But thankfully I had air tools haha makes it so much easier!!

also when you torque everything down, make sure that you put a load on the axel, put a jack under it and jack it up till its just about to lift the truck, thats the "neutral" position they talk about. Otherwise things will get all catty wompass.

Its easy, i just did mine monday night.

Dont forget to drop the exhaust brackets. Thats a key tip they dont talk about.

Thanks Huck,

Well my A-hole brother is bailing on me tonight, so I called up my brother in law (he is NOT mechanically inclined) just to give me a extra hand. So, if I am able to do this mod tonight, I think that proves that anybody should be able to do it! :signs75:

I should start in about 2 hours. Pics to follow

By now he's probably thrown his hammer through the garage wall a couple times and has that glazed over look in his eyes while pounding whiskey straight out of the bottle.
