Ok. I'm looking at the Drake Off Road FIREX-MNT-DOR mount, is it a good one? Amazon has it listed for 70

Yes, that is the one I have. It is mounted behind the console. I did have a metal plate made for the backside inside the console to give it more support.

What do you put out with that little thing a frying pan? Would it be enough to slow a fire down to get someone out? I'd like to see a seminar on them just to know what size and what size extinguisher will put out what size of fire.

Well the HalGuard ones are actually liquid that is compressed to expel as a clean agent gas. So perhaps they actually hold more than a normal dry chemical 1.4lb unit. I also have a larger one in the bed that I can get to with a quick release as soon as I open the tailgate.

That's what I'm talking about, don't get me wrong anything is better than nothing but if someone sees that and just buys the cheapest one at lowes you might be able to put out a person after they get out of the vehicle. Thanks for the info.

I have a friend whom told me her little sister's car caught on fire Friday evening, and apparently all the electrics got fried and she was unable to open the doors or roll down the windows to get out, and if weren't for a passer byer with a hammer she would burnt to death. The good Sumerian busted out the passenger window and drugg her out to safety. I would have assumed the doors would have open, but she swore they didn't.

I don't about y'all but I will be carrying a ballping hammer in my center console for now on.

Get an extraction tool. It will break windows with ease and cut a belt if needed.

Also remember if you ever need to break a window just hit it in the corner. will break much easier than hitting it in the center
