Great report on what looks like a great trip! Thanks for taking the time to write it up and share it with the rest of the class.

I've done that trip a number of times and the last time (April 2012) we spent one night up on the mountain and a rain-wind-then-snow storm came in and we saw the desert like never before...

Cool pictures, looks like a good time for sure!
Yup, Come with us for the actual run!

What a great run! Impressions with latest setup, 37's, glass fenders, etc?
Um, I love my KM2 37's, still running stock fenders that were modified, still have my fender liners too, thank google, kept the mud out of engine compartment...

Now there's an interesting little tidbit....stock width I am guessing, better lower bushings ala camburg?? Needs a wider UCA? You know what brand shocks they are working with? See...got me all excited like its Christmas ! LOL

Any g
Sorry for the previous harsh tone post, I hate the whole whose shock is better than the other arguments. Fact is Fox shocks are on more first place finishers than all the others combined. No one else has the internal bypass technology/patents on the front coil-overs. I'll put my rig with its 3.0 shocks up against any and all with similar setups. to those that vehemently exclaim that their Icons or Kings are faster, I say lets settle this in the whoops not in cyberspace. There is a cool stretch in Barstow, perfect for a timed test run.

Oh that's right. Stock rims = No need for glass with 37's. Love my Fox 3.0's too and wouldn't trade 'em. i am very interested in feedback on the latest optimization by RPG. Great pics guys!

Gordon,
I have said all along I want to put all three setups side by side and see which ones perform the best. But for you to say you are tired of everyone saying theirs are the best and then to come out and say Foxes are the best is just the same as us, an opinion. Have you ridden or driven a truck with Kings or Icon’s? I have driven and been in all three setups. All three brands are amazing through the whoops. I am basing my decisions on my driving style and overall performance of the shocks for a Raptor not a Trophy Truck. As everybody knows I run Kings now and have been very happy with them. However, with improvements being made to the other brands I am making a switch over to Icon. I will be in So Cal in January, Pismo in February and Mexico in March. Lets meet up and run them, get video and see what works and more important what doesn’t.
Gordon.

Thats OK. I really was just asking what shocks they were using. Having a much more robust setup up front that is the stock trackwidth or very close sounds very appealing to me. Thats why I got excited and started asking questions.
