Mine has a factory crimp I'll have to replace the entire hose. fc55adcc40a233457884ecbd023ec5c0.jpg
The restriction is where the clamp is. In my previous post

I'm just relaying what I was told. Try it and see if it helps. You may also want to try and replace the cap.

I was thinking last night about this foam thing you guys are doing. IMO I think this is a bad idea. If any part of that foam comes apart or the foam deteriorates over time you will need to replace just about everything in your ps system. Including all the lines and radiator. That's prob a 3k bill if you do it yourself. Just my opinion and something to think about.

I have a PSS system which weeps by a little through the vent hole on the cap. It only does it while offroading and while it looks bad, it is barely losing any fluid. Are you guys experiencing much more than this? If not, I think you're overthinking it and in the time you've done all this, I've been able to wipe and detail the reservoir multiple times[emoji23] Holeshot may be right in terms of risk vs. reward

Yes, as I already said, ONLY when off-roading when you are really working the steering. It does weep all down the sides on the PSS unit and yes it never is that much. It looks like more when you see it but then open the cap and its like, wow thats not as low as I thought by looking at the mess.

RPG by far has the better design with the overflow tube that you can put a water bottle on to catch if you don't want it running down your frame. PSS ones not so much.

I think the pressure value on these aftermarket ones must be lower than stock? Is it 14-18psi? Could you get a replacement valve with a higher release, maybe 30psi and go that route instead?

Anyone know the PSI our system runs at and what the factory reservoir is set at?

If I do go the foam route, I will always put in a new piece for each offroad event so it should never have enough time to deteriorate. If I recall the factory reservoir has a screen in it where it exits and neither RPG or PSS has a screen, why?

This picture was taken after 4 days of off-roading. I did check the level once it cooled down and i was able to open it. I was still in right level and didn't need to fill it at all. Most of us fill it when fluid and reservoir are cold, which i think is one reason for excess leaking. Fluid is expanding lot more than reservoir when it gets really hot and it's most likely way over where it should be.
