Anyone with experience in running any of the RPG Off-Road upgrades on their previous vehicles?

Looking to put a few of their items on the Christmas Wish List:

Will any of the above improve or decrease current suspension attributes (stiff, harsh, etc.)? Most importantly, which color to go with LFG Stealth!!!l.

P.S., maybe some of us Southern California guys can work out a group purchase or something to save a few pennies…food for thought?

RPG is solid. I haven’t ever had issues and never really heard of anyone else having issues. Good looking list.

I’m interested in the perch collars as well, but I really love the way the truck rides as is and would hate stiffin it up. I’m not sure if perch collars are the same as the coil spacers.. but I had those on my 15’ f150 and it was a terrible ride.

The RPG perch collars level the truck by increasing the preload (pressure) on the spring. These collars move the lower seat of the spring up higher which creates more preload.

The RPG collars accomplish the same thing as the coil spacers do by putting more preload (pressure) on the spring. The RPG collars shorten up the space the spring sits in versus coil spacers which compress the spring in the stock space for the spring.

A spring with more preload (pressure) will make the front end stiffer. Some people claim they don't notice/feel a difference, others say they can tell. It may be obvious, but the bigger the spacer is, the stiffer the ride will be.

I have them installed on my truck and added 37s. They are great-I notice zero difference in how the truck rides both on and off-road and I am also dead level with the 1.5 collar. I was mid perch on my Gen 1 and 2 1/4 was needed to level my Gen 2. I think the larger you go on the collar, the more it will effect your ride…
Any update? Have you had a chance to install and compare?

Thanks for the update.

Did you mean 1.5" collar? I only see 1.5", 2.25", or 3" options on their site.

Did you remove remove the shock assembly to install them? Or do it with everything on the truck?

And yes, the larger you go, the more preload on the spring, which firms up your ride and raises the front end.

yes 1.5 sorry. I did not do the work myself but I believe he did remove the assembly although I also believe that may not be necessary. There is an RPG video on their site regarding the installation of Gen 2 collars and was told by RPG that video would show the same procedure for Gen 3 install. You may want to contact @OffroadAlliance.com as they not only sell the collars-i bought mine there-but also installed them on their own truck.
