to do the exact same thing as what has been done on my truck you need.... stainless pipe. the stainless pipe, as stated above, is used to connect the 1 to 2 spliter with the factory dual exit pipes. both pipes have to be stainless because you can not weld stainless to non stainless. you will also need a couple pipe clamps.

all this any muffler shop should be able to handle.

Thanks, I went to 4WheelParts, where I get most of my stuff, and they don't have the equipment to weld Stainless. I then went to my normal repair shop, and he said he has the equipment, but doesn't know how to do it. I guess, I will try a regular muffler shop next :) Thanks for the info. I got the Roush with Black Tips, now all I need is the truck.

i went to a cole muffler/midas to get it done. it cost me 1 hour of labor. it was just over 60$ (damn tax) plus i tipped the guy who did it.

if your looking to do it yourself any welder can weld stainless (im pretty sure) you just need the correct welding rod or welding wire or stick lol. everything just clamps together until you get to the exit. if you leave the exit the way it is any one could do it by themselves. other than having to cut the piece that connects the header to the resinator off, that requires something that cuts, sawsall or grinder.

ok, there is a Midas nearby. I am going to show them your instructions. I have not the skill to do it myself :). I want to leave the exit in the same location as stock. I think it looks better than a rear exit.

my instructions should be enough to get the job done... it really wasnt that difficult, just needed someone willing to make things work.

the top 2 pieces in your instruction booklet on the cover, you will not be using those lol.

OK, I got it installed at 4 Wheel Parts, and it is awesome sounding. I will get some pics tomorrow. The Black tips look great. The instructions helped a lot, but he said it wasn't easy and they overcharged me, but I like them so I didn't mind too much. I went to Midas, but they guy didn't give me a warm fuzzy. Thanks for your info, it was very much helpful.

A couple pictures of the Exhaust Tips. I think they came out real nice looking, and the sound is spectacular.

Thanks.

Yes, I ordered it with the Black Tips from Stage 3 Motorsports.

They only issue is that the package is designed to exhaust under the rear bumper. There is a how to guide at the start of this thread on how to adapt the factor pipes to exhaust to the side like the factory location. The guys at 4 Wheel Parts were able to do it, but they said it was a major PITA and charged me 2 hours of labor ( $ 190.00 ). In the grand scheme of things, I didn't mind, since they did all the work and they have a warranty.
