I like Gobi products, have some on my lady's 4runner. Just a little too low profile for what I'm looking for on the Raptor though. Ended up ordering the Smittybilt so now I'm trying to figure out what accessories I want up there; speakers, lights, jack, etc.... suggestions?

Let's see some pics of the smittybuilt. Is it steel or aluminum? How was the install?

Well I've had mine for 8 months now here are my thoughts:

* swap out the provided well nuts for some deeper ones and upgrade the included hardware to stainless

* the coating from the factory is **** poor, mine wore through after one trip (ok it was 8000+ miles but that's not the point) I had mine linexd

* the hinge style mounts are not so great, get it all setup then weld those hinges up so they don't move or rub on the roof

* the 4 light tabs on the front are great but finding decent light bars with mounts in the correct place is not fun, also don't mount anything heavy on the center 2 tabs I had a 50" bar mounted there and it sagged slightly, moved the mounts to the outer tabs and no further sagging

* rear facing tabs are great spot for some ambers or flood work lights

Overall very happy with it and it has more than served its original purpose!

Check out the new ADD max rack. It is light weight. Available in different lengths and light options.

Do you have a link? All that I can find look to be jeep roof racks and the universal look to require a camper shell....

I don't have raptor but I have the smittybilt rack mounted on my f150. I wanted it removable so I attached it to set of Yakima roof bars. So far I have the hi lift attachment bracket and axe and shovel mounts. I don't like either of the mounts and am planning on fabing up my own. The rack is great tho, just need to get lights for it.
