With the extra lights, when do we need to be concerned with upgrading the alternator and/or battery with the extra draw?
The PRO6, while it looks like it pulls a ton of power, is actually pretty conservative on overall amp draw at only 14.67A for all 9 lights. Now, that’s too close for comfort on the Gen 2’s 15A cap on the stock Upfitters. So we always recommend customers use in the included wiring harness and draw power direct from the battery and use the included relay to tap into their upfitter switches.
As long as you’re not severely exceeding the amp draw of each of your switches, it’s not something I would worry about.
