welcome to the 360 club. unfortunately we dont like accepting new members. when i rolled my gen 1 back in 2014 in the sand dunes, its was a total loss. granted the truck was $60k and the repairs were almost $50k. not sure about aluminium costs these days, or labor rates. but theres always hidden damage that wont show up until the truck comes apart.

how did the wreck happen?

I'm going to guess that the trailer started whipping and the soft springs couldn't damp it. I came very close to flipping a pickup this way when I was sixteen.

Uh yeah, I had an F150 that the insurance company wouldn't total and put 32k worth of invoices into a 40k truck. So, I know they do it especially since the F150 is a box on frame meaning that if the truck doesn't line up correctly the cheap bastards want you to take it.

LOL, then they wonder why people self insure or buy bonds to keep from paying companies for their chitty products.

Long time lurker, first time poster.
I bought a 2022 truck and rolled it doing 75mph down the highway pulling a trailer 3 days later. Thankfully the dog and I are ok, and no one else was hurt. The truck didn’t fair as well.

Insurance(USAA)came back with an initial estimate and said there’s only 30k of damage and they’re going to fix it.
I don’t want ANYTHING to do with this truck. With the exception of the hood and tail gate there is not a panel that doesn’t need to be replaced. All airbags expect the front deployed. There’s BBQ sauce all over the interior. (Gotta love the fact that in the south they give you an actual cup full of sauce. Great for ribs, not so great for roll over accidents. And no, the bbq sauce didn’t cause the accident)
Haven’t taken it to a frame shop yet but the rear axel is 4 inches out to the right of the truck. Left side control arms at bent, and a few other suspension component bent like pretzels. Multiple dash lights now displaying as well.

I feel like I’m missing something here. I can’t comprehend how they’re only estimating 30k of damage. Literally every panel, both Apillars, headlights, tail lights, etc have to be replaced, and that’s not even touching the potential mechanical/frame damage.

Lucky enough for this to be my first major accident in my life, so admittedly I’m not super familiar with the ins and outs of insurance. All I know is I want out of this truck. If they fix it, itll never be the same. It’ll be in and out of the shop once a month. Not to even mention the price hit that it’s going to take after the carfax states it’s a roll over airbag deployed vehicle.

Any advice on the best way to move foward is greatly appreciated.

9 days into ownership, some old dude was at a gas pump and he forgot to either put his truck in park or had it in neutral and rolled 60 feet and hit my car. What are the odds!?! Glad it wasn't that much but will need a new bumper, tow hook, and a new silver trim above the bumper. Now...it depends how long it will take to repair because of parts!

i'd find a take off bumper and the insurance check and move on with life.. maybe find the valance later on, but this def isnt a body shop repair.. keep it off the carfax


that rollover is totalled.. i can't imagine replacing the cab, both doors, the bed, hood and fenders with paint and labor to be less that $60k

USAA only goes off the pics you submit, my wife got rear-ended in a brand new (1k miles bc I drove it from WI to SC) Grand Cherokee, USAA said only 1400 in damage, took it to the dealership body shop and it totaled 5k, they paid it all.

Your best bet is to get it to a shop where they can tally it all up and then USAA will total it.

I think it will likely be totaled as well but one thing that has changed in the last few years is that it takes so much more damage to consider a vehicle 'totaled' any more. Seems like it used to be 50-60% damage would total it out, but I just had a car with 72k damage that the insurance company wanted to fix.
Yes, here is some advice. Find out if you are in a diminished value state?
Assuming OP is in Florida (Jacksonville) which is a diminished value state, but...
sue your own insurance company for the diminished value of the truck you just lost then switch insurance companies to someone who protects your assets better. This is the easiest method to make it work out, otherwise you are just SOL.
...they're not going to pay out a diminished value claim if the OP was at-fault, which it sounds like he was.

Wow glad everyone is ok. That is quite the wreck.

I’ve never had to deal with ins in this manner but I’ve always understood that adjusters will lowball you.
