Took my truck in Monday for service and so they could address the seat belt rivet and roll pin recall. I wanted the boy to be able to ride in back so that was the compelling reason I took it in. Hadn't noticed anything with the transmission, but thought I'd get it taken care of since I was taking it in anyway. Picked it up this evening and all seemed well until I came to a slight hill, gave it a little gas, and it clumsily shifted with a thud and lurch. Everything seems to be okay when driving while barely pressing gas, but more than a little seems to confuse the transmission so its like its searching for a gear then slams into it. Was also happening intermittently on downshift. Anyone else actually had the roll pin recall addressed and noticed anything?
I'm going to talk with Ford Service tomorrow, but thought I would reach out to the community...
