Actually thinking of omitting the winch all together. It adds more money to the bumper because of the needed bracket, different skid plate and license plate holder. I don't off-road alone so hopefully a couple buddies can pull me out, at least that is what I am trying to convince myself. The winch looks really cool though.

I was thinking the same as you are at first plus I was thinking that with a winch behind the bumper all the time it just adds extra weight to an already heavy front end so I came up with another idea to have the best of both!!

I wanted to have a winch up front when I need it but not carry around the extra weight the rest of the time so I got together with Ryan @ Rogue to design the Throttle bumper to give me BOTH!!

Ryan is great to work with and after a bunch of phone calls and emails we decided on a custom design that will give me everything I want.

Now the hard part....... waiting........

Would like to hear more about that design. Are you removing the winch?

Yes and no, I thought up a design that puts a 2" hitch receiver behind the bumper but flush with the skid plate with a matching skid plate plug to hide it when I am not using it.

I am going to get a portable winch and this setup will let me mount the winch on the front or back of my truck when I need it.

You mount the winch in a mount like this:winch mount.jpg

I can also use the front hitch for maneuvering trailers in tight spots and for any other standard 2" hitch accessory.

Wow. Super slick! I like it. Might consider something like that because it at least gives options in the future! Great idea. Definitely post up pictures when you get it.

Can I come down to you and order in person??
Have read through all the pages here and looked at all the pics. Have to have it !!
Looking at the front and rear package and want to discuss options.
Understand the wait time involved. Want to take advantage of the local install.
Tell me when, where and how.
Thanks.
Jim Call me now I will take your order 702-586-8050. When the bumper is ready we will arrange for install.

Only have the one light bar currently. They're supposed to be shipping me the second and new brackets. (That's the change my wife wanted after the fact.)

Rogue, any pictures of the license plate mount? And how hard is it to retrofit after the fact?

Corey

We didn't want to just bolt a license plate on the bumper like we have seen others do before looks a little cheesy, so we are designing a frame plate that integrates nicely on the front as well as allowing function for the winch. Stay tuned we are finishing up the design and will post pics!

One thing I've been trying to figure out since I mounted my bumper.
What to do with the license plate?
What are the rest of you doing? I'm assuming the window?

Good question...didn't think of that at all.

RR - look fwd to seeing your license plate option. I already ordered mine and *hope* it is too far along to change! But will it be something we could order on its own if needed?
