While I've been in your same situation... You do have to ask yourself.. If you got the smaller winch (assuming that is the situation) , will you be regretting it on the first run/ time you need it? Would you be kicking yourself? Buy once cry once.

Actually thinking of omitting the winch all together. It adds more money to the bumper because of the needed bracket, different skid plate and license plate holder. I don't off-road alone so hopefully a couple buddies can pull me out, at least that is what I am trying to convince myself. The winch looks really cool though.

With years of offroading fjs I used my winch once, more just for fun. Although I don't do it alone and I'm certainly not the most hardcore out there. I suppose you don't need it until you do though. Insurance is like that.

One thing I've been trying to figure out since I mounted my bumper.
What to do with the license plate?
What are the rest of you doing? I'm assuming the window?

Only have the one light bar currently. They're supposed to be shipping me the second and new brackets. (That's the change my wife wanted after the fact.)

Rogue, any pictures of the license plate mount? And how hard is it to retrofit after the fact?

Can I come down to you and order in person??
Have read through all the pages here and looked at all the pics. Have to have it !!
Looking at the front and rear package and want to discuss options.
Understand the wait time involved. Want to take advantage of the local install.
Tell me when, where and how.
Thanks.

Hey guys, that pic that rogue racing put up is of my truck. I have a smittybilt x20 10k comp series with synthetic line. I cut the smittybilt clevice hook off right away and put the factor 55 flat link on it. On order is a license plate bracket to slip behind the fairlead because massachusetts is full of masshole drivers and we need license plates on the front and back lol. Install was easy. I watched a video on here about install which made it helpful and then it was pretty self explanatory from there on out. The only issue I have now is that occasionally my winch self activates in the outward motion. It comes out maybe a foot or so. I am guessing it is a frequency crossover with other wireless devices in the area. I do have it wired hot directly to the battery. So it may be time to change that around.
