3500 mile road trip, 3 young kids and my wife. Small vehicle with shared accommodations. I'd probably go nuts.......

If you drive at a speed that keeps it out of boost, you'd find your missing 3 MPG on the highway and maybe a couple more.Yet guys are posting all the time on this forum that they are getting 20MPG on their raptors yet I have not seen anything higher than 17
I can get 20mpg in mine, but I have to be going roughly 55mph on a flat road with no headwind.Yet guys are posting all the time on this forum that they are getting 20MPG on their raptors yet I have not seen anything higher than 17
I did a test with my current tank of gas over the last two weeks to see if I could squeeze out 18 in my Gen 3. I'm not sure why. I really don't care, it's not a daily driver. So I did the test. Super scientific: Easy on the acceleration. Start with regular mode then activate Sport Steering and Quiet exhaust. Foot off the throttle on the downhills (I live in hill country).I can get 20mpg in mine, but I have to be going roughly 55mph on a flat road with no headwind.
My best stretch in the Raptor so far as been 18.5mpg (going about 72-73mph on a flat road), which I've found is actually 17.6mpg -- Raptor reads 5% too optimistic in the displayed mpg.
Been there!I was sitting close at 17.8 over about 100 miles give or take.
Then my wife happened.
I'm now sitting at 14.5.
Sure, nothing against them. GM has long been the segment leader in full size SUVs; the 2018+ Expedition got Ford back in the game and competitive again.Wait, did you just give Chevy a boost, the number one Ford fan?
One of the main reasons I enjoy road trips in the raptor! People rarely ever cut me off and slow drivers move out of the way more often. Just makes the drive a lot more relaxing. One thing we don’t mention is that other drivers usually give you room and respect? compared to driving a little vehicle. Lots of cut offs, tailing etc.
Doesn’t happen as much in the Raptor.
