Their moisture issues has been going on for over a year now. I bet they have a system then renders a small % with defects and they are unwilling to recall all the lights to see which lights need fixing. Instead they just deal with one light at a time when customers return them.

I am sure other light manufacturers have issues also but I don't think they are anywhere near the amount that seems to popup with rigid.

As for me I am unwilling to spend over 1K for a rigid light bar and then take my chances to see if they are defective and then turn around and spend more money shipping it back to them.

And I do hate when when Rigid chimes in and saids. Thank you for supporting an American made product and that we have the best warranty ... blah blah blah. Talking about how great your american made product is does not make it better. Let your products do the talking.

After my lights get here from Raptor Retrofit I am going to put some LED’s in the air vent on the bumper. Rigid is one of the brands I am considering strongly. That being said and I also have a Jeep and this same issue is also being discussed on a couple of the boards I frequent. I am interested in what the failure analysis that has undoubtedly been conducted has yielded? Is it systemic to engineering, materials or process issues or maybe a combination of all three? When I buy a product the CS aspect is important however, even more so are the three things mentioned above. My question is simply has Rigid determined what the cause is and how was it remedied?

Could it be that they had a batch with that issue? Then they fixed it but vendors still have some of the defects in inventory?

That would be a worst case scenario. That is why I asked the question I did. If as you state did happen then they are indeed committing a more egregious foul on their Supply Chain and as well as the final customer. Should this be the case and I am sure that we will get very tempered answers if any from the manufacturer it would not bode well for them.

Discretionary income is just that discretionary and on the high end items such as expensive off road lighting the competition is especially fierce for your dollars make no mistake about it.

Will agree with the above comment on the use of playing the “American” card… Looks like someone is attempting to avoid the issue but we will see… The questions to Rigid still stand..

Our engineers have been working on this for the last year. We were having issues with the breathers and traced them back to a bad batch. We just recently have replaced our old breathers with a new style and have had great success with them so far, much more superior then the old style. It wasn't a large amount. There are very few left in the dealers circulation. Anything that comes in for warranty we replace the old breathers with the new ones. Thank you for understanding for those that have had issues.

Ordered a high performance light today and when I went to the Rigid Site there is not much if any in the way of higher wattage LED powered lights. In my view this not good because it caused your company to be effectively eliminated as a potential source for me. Besides keeping the moisture out product innovation has to be continued and new LED technologies integrated into the line. If not then what caused me to use someone else will undoubtedly cause others to as well.

When conducting a price/value analysis everything comes into play.

There was no lights even close to the Rigids at the Run in my opinion. I was able to run almost as fast at night compared to my day runs. Impressed the hell out of me!

Other lights are having problems. Shit happens, especially pounding hard offroad. Some only have a one to two year warranty. Then what?

Rigid = plenty bright with a LIFETIME transferable warranty no questions asked. I'm beating the shit outa mine!
