Can you PM me so we can discuss how to get this handled. I can then give you my direct number so we can speak on the phone. I am having trouble getting in contact with someone. Thanks.

Please call the office first thing tomorrow. There must have been some sort of mix up. We back our product 100%. We always cover the shipping under warranty. We thrive on having the best customer service in the industry. 480-655-0100

Thanks,

That's what I like to see. Makes me want to buy a rigid product just because they own up to their mistakes.

If this is true >> "We always cover the shipping under warranty." then why would anyone at Rigid tell a customer any thing different?

It seems you guys need to have a meeting and discuss your policies when it comes to warranty and shipping and how to communicate this when a customer calls.

I just handled this myself. Nobody ever got back to me on the shipping and I don't really want to deal with it. 20 hex screws and a fiber cloth rag and it's done until the next rainstorm I guess.

That is sad to hear. Didn't you get yours from Amazon? I think I got mine about the same time and am sad to hear this. Luckily it rains here about as often as there, so hopefully I never actually notice this.

Stories like yours has convinced me to stay from Rigid.

And someone from Rigid actually responded to this thread and said "Please call the office first thing tomorrow. There must have been some sort of mix up. We back our product 100%. We always cover the shipping under warranty. We thrive on having the best customer service in the industry. 480-655-0100" and yet never bothered to call or contact you.

So much for "We thrive on having the best customer service in the industry"

Problem I had with one that had condensation inside was eventually the moisture ate the chrome off the reflectors. You could try some silicone as afore mentioned.

I'd probably cut Rigid some slack... I mean Walmart doesn't call you for a return. Unfortunately you have to put a little effort in it to get it fixed. As unfair as it seems = i wish I could snap my fingers and have a new one not only delivered but installed. Lol

While I don't think snapping fingers and magically fixing things is an acceptable solution, I don't think a $500+ light bar should come even close to having condensation inside. They should be vaccume sealed or whatever is necessary.

The most sad is that a response from Rigid was posted here and then you got ignored. What happened after their response? Did you ignore them? Did they ignore you? Did no one actually follow through?

I'm very curious since we bought our bar from the same place at similar times.

And people wonder why I went with Vision X. "American Made" crap is more like it. If the older lights are leaking (in which just about everyone on earth knows they are), Rigid should do a mass recall for having defective lights. I never installed my D2's because of the lack of no rubber seal in them (they might have them now but I am not about to waste another $2000.00 in lights to test them). Having to take them apart, put in a bead of silicone and hope that holds is just BS. I can't even sell them because at this point I do not know what beam pattern they have since it is has been about 2 years (they even have the self tapping screws instead of the bolts to hold the D2 light bracket to the frame, another design flaw that has been fixed.

It seems their response on here was for PR. I was ignore both on my PM request for a phone call and my subsequent phone call message which I left with with the very friendly but unknowledgable girl on the phone. "Damon" was "unavailable". So no one ever got back to me and I just dealt with it.

If their return policy is so great, maybe they should develop a procedure other companies follow where you can create return shipping labels or include them in the original order? Having to pay to ship back a defective item is not an option.

At this point, I am just glad the light is working. Sad but true.
