Does changing to an aftermarket Fox/Icon/King setup with all the bells and whistles (UCAs, rear springs, etc.) change the ride height at all???

Reason I ask is I would like the Raptor to sit higher, while not destroying what 'makes' a Raptor a Raptor.

I enjoy the capabilty of my truck, but would like more lift down the road and plan on swapping to an aftermarket setup (once she is paid off).

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Thanks guys!

Totally up to you. The front on all three companies you just mentioned will let you increase ride height, and depending on your needs, you can have a spring built to keep the truck at the height you want.

For example, the Fox shocks will be more sensitive to ride height because of the internal bypass system. So be careful not to go overboard with ride height.

Makes total sense about the ride height with the Fox Shocks. What is the height or range they work best at? How does the ideal height for the Fox 3.0's compare to the stock shocks ride height wise? EX. is it like the 2nd perch, 3rd perch, in between? Thanks, sorry if it is an confusing question.

great thread! Been trying to figure out if the raptor might be suitable for me in terms of off-roading and was reading up a lot on the subject of lifting the raptor. Spring spacer appear to be a big no-no from what I have learned on the forum and wondering which direction to go in order to gain a lot more rocker panel clearance.

About how much ride height do the Icon/King/Fox aftermarket setups gain compared to stock?

thanks

These measurements are great, but your not comparing apples to apples. What I mean is, your ride height changes depending on many factors. Tire diameter is the biggest factor, then there's air pressure, shock settings, vehicle weight (a screw weights slightly more and is capable of carrying more fuel which equals more weight).

It's also difficult to get before and after heights. You never think to measure before swapping everything out. I think the best way to measure might be from the center of the hub to the fender lip, but, then again, your "eyeing the center of the hub. I guess, I don't have the answer as to how to measure. All I know is my ride height will be different later in the week when I have less fuel and the temp is lower.

Just something to think about.

I know what you mean. I get different measurements every time I measure. You can also add the variable of a perfectly level road for the Raptor to sit on.
