Anyone had any experience or know anything about the Fabtech 4 Inch Lift kit for Raptors? It says it Retains factory track width keeping tires under fenders
ESC and Traction Control compliant with 37″ tall tires, Retains Fox Shox for a factory Raptor ride, High arched Crossmembers utilize Ford SVT control arms, Front diff drop brackets retain proper CV angles. Not sure if any down falls of it or if not worth the price of $1900?

oh man...prepare your self sinraptor. People around here dont take to kindly to "lift" kits as some people claim it reverses everything the Raptor was designed for. I honestly know nothing about that but I have read some threads...

I need some popcorn too and this stupid gov computer isnt compatible with this site so I can only see the top 3 smilies on the pull down list.

Fabtech pretty much went out of business a few years ago and came back a new company. They make quality stuff regardless if people don't like the lift on the raptor. The few things I would be concerned about would be the strength of their new knuckles, the strength in the coilover extension(shock extension) because the kit doesn't show drop spindles, and the additional leverage on the subframe.

Not sure on the logic of the kit, but i wouldn't be afraid of using it. You can get 37's on a stock suspension raptor. Different strokes for different folks I guess....

Fabtech makes pretty decent lift kits. I had a ProComp 6" lift on a 2004 F-150 Lariat and a Fabtech 6" on a 2007 FX4. The main problem with this drop bracket style lift kit is that it does exactly that... drops everything down with extended bracketry. When you do that, your allowing off-road forces to gain more leverage on your parts. I wasn't terribly impressed with my ProComp lift, but the Fabtech lift I had on my 2007 held up pretty good. I installed Bilstein 5100 shocks on both trucks... they're not the best shocks and don't hold a candle to a stock Raptor shock, but they're appropriate for this style lift. Keep in mind that my FX4 had ~50% less suspension travel, so it just wasn't capable of the off-road speed that a Raptor is.

I will say this with strong certainty:
Take two identical Raptors and install the Fabtech lift on one. Drive them through identical terrain and increase speed until one breaks... 9 times out of 10 it will be the Fabtech truck.

For a street queen or mild offroader this kit will be fine, but it's not something I would install on my own Raptor. I'd leave the Fabtech lift kits for the FX4 guys.

Let me grab some popcorn real quick.

I got a feeling we are going need more than one bag. :smiley-face-popcorn

And now we begin. :peace:

Let me start of with an innocent question. Why you would/do want to lift your Raptor? I will also say that there are valid reason's to want to do so, given the type of terrain you plan to off road in.

I'm not arguing that mid/top perch doesn't improve off-road handling, but how many people do you think do the perch mod just for the look and/or to install larger tires and never go off-road? Those are probably the same people who would want to lift their Raptor. Just for the record, this probably describes over 95% of Raptor owners.

DISCLAIMER: I am not in favor of a "lift kit" on a Raptor, but I am in favor of the perch mod and/or aftermarket front shocks that achieve lift.
